Selling via social media

If you are using  social media (aka sales 2.0) to sell, you need to realize this.

-It will change your interactions from 1 way (you to clients) to three way, you to them, them to you, and them to each other.

-You will be managing a community in which people will play multiple roles.  As opposed to the traditional division of “client” and “prospect”, you need to remap your relationships in terms of how people will act in your new community.  You would be surprised at how many clients can also be your best sales people.

-You need to be authentic in your communications.  Everything you do can and will be weighed, dissected and remembered (potentially).  Be very, very honest or your credibility and you will wither on the social media vine.
