As this post was published, we are conducting a Lunch and Learn with a Public Relations and Communications agency.

We’re finding a lot of what we do, is talk with many clients and agencies about how social media is impacting their particular organization. Sometimes we are asked to come in and talk over a sandwich, sometimes it’s a day or two in a workshop setting.

Ultimately, there seems to be a high demand to answer the question, “what does this all mean to me?”

The slide deck below was sliced out of some of our training material, to focus on PR/Communications. But much of it will also apply to you, no matter what your organization.

We’re putting it up here, because it is a very succinct (i.e.: microsized) version of some key points. This post serves as a reference for the session attendees, and of course, any one else who would like to join the conversation.

First, the slide deck:

Key Point

We covered a number of topics, starting with adoption rates of Social Media, tools, behaviors, examples, how to get there, good resources, and ultimately ending up with one crucial takeaway related to PR and communications, the new KISS principle as redefined by Social Media:

Keep It Short, Stupid.

Everything is in small segments, and will be mixed and shared. Go with the flow, and feed the machine content that matches the behavior.
